It's Ok to Keep it Simple.

When buying toys for your favorite pet, it is easy to spend a lot of money at the pet stores trying to find the latest and greatest toy to get the pet's interest. Despite the appeal of the pricey items in the stores, don't forget that pets often are very easy to please.

If you happen to have a large box at your house, cut holes at different heights on each side big enough for your pet to climb through. Put one of the toys the pet already has in it. Most likely the pet will go into the box and have fun playing with the toy as well as going through the different openings.

If you followed my suggestion, I just saved you a lot of money.

Have a great day.

Solomon Island Eclectus Parrot New Home

We love our cats and we have pet parrots as well. We are looking for a new home for our gorgeous female Solomon Island Eclectus Parrot named Sheba. She is mostly red, blue and burgundy in color. She will soon be 5 years old. This is very young for an eclectus parrot as they can have a lifespan of approximately 60 years old or more.

Sheba is a real treasure. She is fully feathered. This in itself is remarkable as many pet parrots, unless they are very well adjusted and feel loved, can develop a problem with plucking out their feathers to the point where some are very bald. Sheba does not have a plucking issue. She has been taught how to step up onto your finger to come to you, loves to give kisses and likes her showers in the sink. She is very attentive to her surroundings and the people in it. We do not clip her wings, so she does fly. Her large sandstone colored cage is for sale also.

Here are a couple of photos of her:

Another photo of her is at the bottom of our blog page.

If you are interested in making Sheba part of your family, contact us for details at: (586) 291-1799.
