New Bengal Kittens Have Arrived

Our cat Gabrielle had one brown spotted male Bengal kitten and our cat Starshine had 4 (2 female and 2 male) beautiful seal lynx point (snow) Bengal kittens. Take a look at their photos and let us know what you think of them.

Adore Cats Opal

This is a photo of our female Bengal kitten named Opal and is a good example of the high quality Bengals we make available to families. She has a striking rosetted pattern and a sweet personality. Halloween Celebrations with your Cat

Do you dress your pets up in Halloween costumes every year? Do they tolerate the costumes or do they hate them? I found that my cats do not like to wear costumes. They do everything they can to remove the clothes no matter how securely they are put on.

My cats do better with a collar or harnass with leash that is appropriate for the season. They are already accustomed to wearing collars and harnasses, so it is not a struggle to put on. Plus the cats are more likely to let the collars or harnasses stay on.

Brown Spotted Bengal Kitten

Just wanted give you an update on the status of our brown spotted Bengal kitten named Bela. Bela has now left to go to her forever home. She has two pet parents and 3 energetic children to play with. Best of luck to all of them :-).

Brown Spotted Bengal Kitten - Available

We currently have one female brown spotted Bengal kitten available. We call her Bela. She is very lovely with gorgeous rosettes and a very feminine face. She loves running and playing hide and seek. If she is hiding from you and you do not find her quick enough, she will run out from her hiding spot, run across your foot and then dart back to her hiding spot and wait for you to come get her. She loves playing with toys until she gets tired and then she will come lay in your lap for a while. Then she is off again :-). Seal Spotted Lynx Point Snow Bengal

We have a gorgeous Seal Spotted Lynx Point Snow Bengal female in our program. We call her Starshine. This girl has it all. She has huge rosettes, gorgeous blue eyes and a pattern that is outstanding. We recently paired her with our marble patterned Bengal boy we call Lightening. The kittens they produced are fabulous. There is one seal spotted lynx point female kitten that will look similar to her mother if not more beautiful. The other kittens are brown spotted with rosettes. A photo of Starshine is shown below. Great News!

The kittens that belong to Gabrielle and Lightening have been developing beautifully. By the time they were 6 weeks old, they were spoken for. They have 3 wonderful families waiting for them to mature so they can take them to their new homes when they turn 12 weeks old. Congratulations to the kittens and their new families!

More than April Showers

Today is the last day of April, 2014. The saying "April Showers bring May flowers" is far from accurate for many people in the Southern US who have been experiencing tornadoes and unprecedented rains for the past few days. Our prayers and well-wishes go out to them as they struggle to recover from the effects of these events.

New Bengal Kittens

Our Bengal cat Gabrielle recently had 3 beautiful Bengal kittens. She had one female and 2 males. We call them Lola, Jake and Kaz. If you would like to add a Bengal kitten to your family let us know. New Bengal Kittens Have Arrived

We have a new litter of kittens that have arrived. The father of the kittens is Adore Cats Lightening, our marble patterned Bengal male. His photo is below.

The mother of the kittens is our Grace Gabrielle of Adore Cats, our classic brown spotted Bengal female. Her individual photo is below:

The photo below is of Gabrielle and the new kittens. Their eyes are not open yet and it is too soon to determine their sex. However, this is what newborns look like. As you can see, they are all brown spotted with a base color very close to their mother's.

I will update you on their progress later with new photos and let you know their sex. These kittens will be ready to go to their permanent homes when they are 12 weeks old.

Adore Cats Opal

The photos below are of our Bengal kitten that we named Adore Cats Opal. She is a spunky little girl with rosettes that have a wonderful flow from shoulder to tail tip. We are keeping her for our program and hope to show her as well.

In the photo below, Opal has a toy that used to look like Rockey the Flying Squirrel. She played with it for a while and then tore the stuffing out of it. Now the only thing that is flying is the white stuffing that she took out :-). She had a great time.

New Home for Bengal Cat

Great News -

The Bengal cat that we rescued now has a forever home. Zoey is a lovely adult Bengal that loves to be with her human caregivers. She now lives Chesterfield, MI. Congratulations to Zoey and her new family :-).

Kitten Bowl

Today we watched the first annual Kitten Bowl on the Hallmark Channel. It was refreshing to see a kitten bowl instead of the puppy bowl. The kittens ran and played and (for the most part) ignored the camera crew. They had a great time. We are glad it will be an annual event which helps a no kill shelter find homes for pets that need them.

Coping with Winter

Winter is not our favorite season. We are in a deep freeze in our area and over the last couple of weeks we have gotten record snowfalls. We are coping with the cold by staying indoors as much as is practical and spending time teaching our cats new things.

Search for the Good and Share It

We are about half way through the first month in this year. We may enjoy life in general more this year if we make the decision today to search for the good every day.

There will be days when the good is very easy to see. There will be other days when finding the good will be a challenge. But if we focus on finding and appreciating the good, we will put ourselves in a position to share that good with our families, friends and acquaintances and be an inspiration to them as we build ourselves up.
