Parrots Make Great Pets Too - Adopt One

We saw an article today written by David Klepper of the Associated Press (AP) that featured Lazicki's Bird House and Rescue in South Kingstown, R.I. Unfortunately, this rescue is being forced to move by December 30, 2013 because the building that houses the shelter will be torn down soon. This business has 80 parrots that need to be re-homed right away.

We have Bengal cats, however, we also have a Solomon Island Eclectus parrot as our pet. Parrots make great pets for people who have the time to spend with them. They can be very social and loving. If you can possibly help by adopting one of the parrots at Lazicki's Bird House and Rescue, please do. If not, please let others know who may be able to help. The phone number listed on the rescue's website is: (401) 500-4925.

  1. Thanks for liking The Pet Museum - and for having a kind word for parrots! Parrots are very social beings and need companionship and interaction. Many people don't realize that. Your kittens are beautiful!
